This collection is a quiet homage to my home country—Germany—a place I’ve been missing deeply in recent days. I chose to title the collection and paintings in German as a way of holding onto that connection—of honoring the language, the landscapes, and the memories that shaped me.

Germany holds so many beautiful words—rich with feeling, layered with meaning. Some of these words became the titles of these colorful artworks, offering glimpses into emotions that don’t always translate, but are deeply felt.

Inspired by the stillness of summer nights, the flicker of fireflies, and the vast, endless skies along the path of my life’s journey, each piece carries a fragment of my story and emotions.

But this body of work is also about the light that lives within darkness—how fireflies glow not in spite of the night, but because of it. These small, luminous moments remind us that beauty doesn’t disappear during difficult times; it simply asks to be seen.

This collection is a love letter to memories, to life’s struggles, and to the quiet magic that helps us find our way back to ourselves.
